All

Run, walk, or wheel

Every age, every pace, every body. Bring the stroller, bring the chair.

5

Bring the family. Register a group of five, one entry is free.

Diabetes touches whole families, so this run is built for whole families. Groups that sign up together get one entry on the house.

Grand prize drawing on the night. Entries are $20 in advance, $25 on race day. Buy four entries and the fifth is free.

Thinking about your first 5K?

You do not have to run the whole distance, and eight weeks is not the price of admission. Choose an eight-week plan, a four-week finish-readiness plan, or a race-soon option for walking, gentle jog-walk intervals, or the 2K.

Start the First 5K Guide

The first 100 registered get the event shirt. This year’s “Sight in Motion” design on a light gray tee. Register early to be sure of yours.

Print it, post it, hand it out.

Grab the flier and put it up at work, at church, at the gym, at the clinic. Print-ready 8.5 x 11, in both layouts.

Print-ready fliers are available by email while the download is prepared. Email info@run4awareness.org and we will send you one now.

The heart of the mission

Free health screening. Bring the whole family.

About one in five adults here has diabetes, and many do not know it yet. On event night there is free community health screening provided by Guam Diabetes Association and its volunteer nurses, open to everyone, runner or not.

  • Free for every participant and every spectator. You do not have to run.
  • Quick and private. Know your numbers, talk to someone, take the first step.
  • Bring your parents, bring your kids. Early is everything with diabetes.

A quiet first step. Free community health screening provided by Guam Diabetes Association and volunteer nurses, open to everyone, runner or not.

Medals for the top three in every division.

The 5K awards 1st, 2nd and 3rd place across Youth, Open, Master and Manåmko divisions. The 2K recognizes top finishers by age group. Everyone who finishes is part of the story, medal or not.

The evening includes packet pickup and race-day registration, a warm-up, a welcome and safety briefing, the 5K and 2K, then awards, a raffle, and the grand prize drawing. Free community health screening by Guam Diabetes Association and volunteer nurses runs during the event.

Spectators, families, and friends are welcome along the course. Bring a sign and some noise. Detailed spectator and parking guidance will be posted here once the event timeline is confirmed.

Screening hours, and any consent or eligibility notes, will be posted here once confirmed.

Down the Hagåtña waterfront, and back.

Both distances start and finish at Chamoru Village. The route runs out along the flat waterfront with the ocean on one side, turns, and comes back the same way, so you finish where the after-party is. The route is flat and wheelchair accessible. The final route, water stations, and medical point are confirmed with the route permit and posted here, with a printable map.
