Legal
Photo & Media Policy
Effective on site launch. Being finalized with legal counsel.
Run 4 Awareness events are photographed and filmed. This policy explains how those images are used and how to opt out.
By attending, you may be photographed or filmed
Run 4 Awareness Guam and people it authorizes take photos and video at the run, at packet pickup, and at related events. By taking part or attending, you understand that your image, voice, and likeness may be captured.
How we use images
We and our event partners may use event photos and video to promote the run and its mission, including on this website, on social media, in newsletters, in press coverage, in sponsor recognition, and in materials for future years. We do not sell photos, and we do not license them for unrelated commercial advertising.
Children
Children may appear in wide shots of the crowd, the start line, and general event activity. If we want to feature a photo or video in which a child is the clear subject and is identifiable, we ask a parent or guardian for permission first, and we keep that permission on file. Tell any photographer, or contact us, if you do not want your child photographed.
Opting out
If you prefer not to be photographed, let a photographer know at the event, or contact us at info@run4awareness.org and we will do our best to accommodate you and to avoid featuring you in published material. If a photo of you is already published, contact us and we will remove it from materials we control, though we cannot recall printed items already distributed.
Photos and video you send us
If you submit photos or video, you confirm that you took them or have the right to share them, that anyone clearly shown has agreed, and that you give Run 4 Awareness permission to use them as described above. Do not send us images of other people, especially children, without their permission.
Media and press
Media covering the event should check in at the information table. A media kit with the event description, mission, founder story, logos, approved photos, and a press release is available on request.
